Taking 24 hours in one semester - possible?

I just finished my first year of college with a 3.32-3.42 and have applied as a transfer to COLA Economics/Undeclared. I know my GPA is very low for UT but hopefully my essays will be good enough for admission. My ultimate goal is to major in Finance at Mccombs.

Just in case I get rejected, I will apply for a Spring 2016 transfer and was wondering if it is possible for me to internally transfer from COLA to Mccombs after just one semester at UT?

Looks like 17 is the maximum without approval. I cannot imagine getting approved for more your first semester there and even then, 18 to 20 would probably be the max. I would also caution that you are unlikely to earn a very high GPA taking 24 hours. Internal transfers to McCombs are in the 3.7 to 3.8 range.

Unfortunately, McCombs only takes Fall applicants so its best that you spread your 24 credit hour requirements throughout 2 semesters.

@BurntOrange27 I will most probably transfer to UT in Spring 2016. Will it still be possible for me to internally transfer to McCombs then?
