Taking 3 labs (bio and chem)?! Is it doable?

Am I crazy? More importantly, can I do this? Will I statistically make it through?

Because of scheduling conflicts, I wasn't able to take my Chem 211 lab with my Chem 210. I'm moving on to Chem 215 which has its own corresponding lab of Chem 216. It's kinda weird how I'm taking two chem labs (211 and 216) but I don't think putting off 216 to the following semester is smart though.

I'm also planning on taking the Bio 173 lab, since I have the AP credits to displace Bio 171/172 lectures. In total though, that'd mean I'm taking three labs, which makes my schedule looks really, really scary as each lab takes 3-4 hours at once! O_O

I want to know relatively how hard are these labs are. I mean, I'd consider myself a pretty quick/smart kid who very easily sacrifices his sleep - so if there's not much to study then I think I'd be fine. Also, from what I understand lab sessions don't have HW, and if all they do is take away a few more hours from my week then so be it.

I'd appreciate any input! Thanks guys. (:

I wouldn’t suggest you do it. You need the experiences from 211 to move on to 216 because without it, you’re just gonna be lost doing the experiments. You need to learn the techniques of 211 first before moving on. I suggest you hold on to 216 and take 211 next semester.

I’ll check with more people on this! But thanks for letting me know of this!

Spread them over a couple semesters. Labs are no fun at all, and while you don’t officially have homework, anything you don’t complete in class ends up being homework, which is often in my experience. You have more time to complete all of these than you might think. There’s little benefit in taking them all at once.
