Taking 7 AP's.. Tips on how to survive?

“Biology, Government, Econ, Computer Science, Statistics, Literature, Spanish.”

so easy i got 5’s on em all…

At my school US Gov and Comp Gov are both a whole year. Econ is yes split into Macro and Micro, a semester apiece but almost no one take just one semester.

a) Thanks to those who gave constructive comments- they’re much appreciated. Procrastination is my biggest problem, so I REALLY have to get my head in the game. I’m probably not going to take all of the AP tests. My school is actually pretty prestigious, so all of these AP’s are more geared towards achieving the “most challenging/vigorous schedule your school has to offer” that colleges seem to obsess over.
-Bio is my favorite subject and I know my teacher is awesome, so that shouldn’t be TOO stressful.

 • I despise anything gov/econ/history related so that will be fun.
 • I’m already studying computer science this summer so I know the basic gist of it.
 • Apparently we get no homework in comp sci OR stats at all.
 • If Lit is anything like Lang Comp, I will not be expecting much homework either.
 • lol @ Spanish. My teacher this year told us all we were going to be doing is watch El Internado and talk about our weekends.

My school is pretty lax about homework. Our teachers are all really good, so our notes in class and some homework out of class is enough for most of us nerds to get 5’s and graduate into prestigious colleges.

b) I’m sorry to those who think a faceless OP is trying to brag to a faceless population about a senior course schedule… though I’m honored that you find it impressive enough to believe I should even be boasting.

Just think about how lax it’ll be after ap tests ;)

Looks fine to me. Some random thoughts:

You taking ap Spanish test? If your not good at Spanish (like me) I think I wouldn’t cause it’s pretty hardcore I hear. I’m just doing my schools ib SL Spanish cause in too scared  taking just the class shouldn’t be a big deal though.

Your schedule looks quite manageable to me - don’t know why people think your boasting. AP Stats (I think) is an easier exam and if you like biology then your STEM shouldn’t be to bad. I do get mixed feelings from stats difficulty though. Computer Science is hit or miss but if you put in the summer effort it should be fine. It’s java I believe (I code in c++) and I don’t think it goes into OOP. Also it’s hard to truly test true programming skills with pen and paper timed!

Weird you say you despise economics. I believe ap economics is a math oriented course (would love for my school to have it) and I’m guessing you already maxed out math junior year (posted that on my thread). I think you’ll like it ;)

AP gov I did sophomore year and my teacher sucked. He literally didn’t teach and I decided not to take the exam. I regret it because improbably could have gotten 4/5 with just a quick 2 week self study.

I definitely think you got a manageable schedule which would IMO show colleges that you are still challenging yourself senior year.

Good luck and Godspeed to you.
