For example, taking organic chem one semester, not taking the next semester and the takin it the next semester... Would u advise doing this or not?

By semester I'm also counting the summer semester

You couldn’t do this at my school (excluding summer semester) because some of the higher level classes like organic chem are specialized classes where there aren’t many teachers for the subject so they only offer it during one semester per year. If it was basic chemistry you’d be fine so it depends on the school.

Personally I wouldn’t do it because I feel like I was starting out new in a hard class if I skipped a semester not taking any of my major classes (assuming chem is your major) instead of having that prerequisite class the previous semester still in my head.
