So my daughter has been studying on her own since May and is taking the test online on Sunday. She has progressed to the point where on a practice test on Sunday she got a 175. However, she seems stressed and burnt out at this point. I was thinking it might make sense to advice her to stop studying for the last 3-4 days before the test so as to not over study. Does anyone have any thoughts as to the merits of taking a break a few days before the test or studying right up until the end?
hopefully she’s been keeping up the some physical exercise – even if just taking a long walk on a regular basis. Some consistent physical activity will aid what sleeping.
My kid was getting several strong scores (low 170’s), but bombed one Logic Game during the real thing. (It was an infamous Game type that had not been seen in quite a few years; he got one question right on that whole game, but all of the remaining LG questions correct.) Upon retake, he got a LG section more to his liking and did well.
So at least the lesson of his experience is to spend the last days looking back thru a bunch of old tests for different LG types and how to tackle them. (IMO, the LG is the most learnable of the test.). Someone aiming high needs to get them all correct.
Good luck.
@bluebayou I will recommend that to her. As to the logic games she has worked hard on learning how to master those and has done well on practice tests. We will see what happens when she takes the test online on Sunday.
