I will be taking the SAT in october and i have been prepping for a while. Currently, i would say im ranging from 1850-1950 right now.. and i am aiming for 2100.... I feel a little angry at myself for taking a break. I havent prepped for the passed week and i am wasting today. I just dont feel like it and thinking about it is hurting my head. I originally intended it to be a good break so that afterward, ill just go back to prepping..... Cuz i have so much stuff going on. Do you guys think it's smart taking such breaks? Or should i just jump back into prepping.

I was in your exact situation a couple of weeks ago. I was so stressed from studying that i just wanted to chill out, which i did. My advice is this, if you've worked to the point where you think your losing your concentration and productivity, stop and take a break. Go out, watch a movie with your friends, eat something you like, or just go to sleep. You will find yourself in a much better position to grind SAT questions. However, keep in mind that if your hoping to achieve a relatively high score within a short amount of time, your breaks should correspond with the amount o time you have. Taking a day or two off to relax is fine, but taking an entire week off can be detrimental. You'll find yourself out of touch with the material and uninterested in studying any more. Too much of anything isnt good. Best of luck to you bro.

thanks. I ll get back to studying tomorrow. I've just been so busy with work, tennis, and summer reading.
