Taking a class at a different community college.

Ok so I want to take ONE class at a different community college than mine.

I would be considered a "visiting student". They need my current college to say that they will accept the course as a "transfer course" or something.

I'm under the impression that when a school takes transfer credits from a different school it doesn't affect your gpa? I WANT this class at the other community college to affect my gpa as I'm trying to raise it before I apply to transfer to a University

What I wanted to do was have my 3.7 GPA from my main community college and then have a 4.0 GPA from that one class from that other college.

When I transfer would I send both transcripts or just my main community colleges transcript(with the transfer class not helping my gpa, it just says I fulfilled the class requirement).

GPAs are often figured by each school, so it probably would not change your current GPA. You will request both transcripts if the college you are transferring to requires all transcripts AND you want credit.

so even if my current community college accepts the credits I would still have to send both schools transcripts when transferring show my 2 different gpas?

When you transfer, you send the school you’re applying to your transcripts from every college you attended. Every university determines GPA in different ways, depending on what is or isn’t transferable. You’ll just have to let the university determine your actual GPA.
