Taking a Semester off before transferring

<p>i plan to take off spring semester before i transfer next year. i will have been at a CC for 1 1/2 years (semesters) i have fulfilled igetc, all prereqs, and will be at 71 units at the end of the fall semester. will it matter if i take courses or not? if so, what is the maximum amount of units i am allowed to have prior to transferring? also i submitted a tag, would it get rejected since i did not put any classes for spring? i dont think tag required for the applicants to take courses in the spring</p>

<p>raymondloi- Taking the spring semester off is, in fact, a possibility. If you have fulfilled all prereqs for your major and feel confident that your application is strong (or does not need that extra semester of extra curriculars etc.) then I would say feel free to take some time to yourself. The maximum amount of units you are allowed to transfer is 70 (if you have more then the schools you’ve applied to will pick and chose the one’s they feel are fit to apply to your academic record).
TAG does NOT require that students take courses in the spring, as long as they have completed ALL prereqs.</p>
