Taking a shortened day my senior year will affect chances?

So I am taking a shortened day this year. There are 7 periods, and I am taking off 6 & 7.

My schedule is currently:

Physics

Weight training (may switch to something useful)

AP Calculus A/B

Economics/AP Government

English
Lunch

Specifically I am asking about the Universities of California. My counselor told me that it doesn't look bad (unless you are doing like all electives and also taking a shortened day). I am taking some fairly hard classes still, and I have exhausted most of the useful electives. Most of the ones I haven't taken are like: Ceramics, choir, photography, etc.

Reason being I would like to have more time to dedicate to my AP & science classes, because the workload is large and so I am not burdened by the mental numbness of pointless electives with pointless busywork.

If your counselor will still check off “most rigorous” on your applications, it doesn’t matter. (However, be aware that some colleges that aren’t the UCs will like your application better if you’ve taken 4 years of a foreign langauge. The UCs recommend at least 3, although they’ll take 2.)

what do you mean check off ‘most rigorous’? and i have 3 years of spanish

Your counselor will be asked to provide information about you. One of the questions is “How rigorous was Ericleafgreen’s course load?”; there are three or four options available (I forget which), and you ideally want your counselor to pick the highest one.
