You get four free colleges to send your ACT scores to.
But as this is the first time I've taken the ACT, my score will probably be a lot lower than later tests.
Should I still put colleges on the list to send the scores too, or just leave it blank?

What year are you? Are you planning to take it again? And what are you expecting to get? There’s no reason to send it now. But more information could help me help you. :)

I’m a sophomore, so I plan to take it multiple times.

What is your current practice scores? As for ACT you need to pay for each score reports afterward, you may consider sending the free score reports to safety schools and schools that want all scores anyway. After all, do not take the test if you are not ready. Take the test as your only attempt or last attempt each time and retake only when you are sure you can get a better score. There is no need to take the test early. Just do more practice tests. If you are expecting your scores to be better later, why take the test now?

My theory early on is to not send them. If you get a score you are happy with, you can always ask ACT to send them later, (for a fee.) It is money well spent.

Well, nearest ACT testing location is 2 hours.
Looks like SAT II’s it is.
