I took the SAT last spring and didn’t do so hot. I am preparing for the ACT and will be taking it in September. Is it a bad idea to submit my current scores but check off that I am taking another test?
Also, will the admissions committee wait to accept or reject me until they get my September ACT scores? Is it possible to be admitted even though I am taking another test?
I heard most schools will hold off on applications that want to send later test scores and wait for the scores to be graded before they review it.
@rightside24 As long as you have the date you took/will take your tests, feel free to go ahead and submit your application.

@hailtopitt1787 I can start my application now and just have September ACT scores sent later? Will they wait to make my admissions/scholarship decision until the score comes in?
@class0f2017, Yes. You can send the scores later. It will not negatively affect your admission/scholarship decision to apply now and send the scores later. If you would like to discuss further, please feel free to contact one of our Admissions Processors or Counselors: 412-624-7488 or oafa@pitt.edu.
