Ok so next semester I am taking an elective (Musicology 123) that is toooooootally unrelated to my major (Engineering... ha) so I thought I might take it pass/fail, right? That would give me less to worry about since I wouldn't have to stress over trying to ace the exams, meanwhile struggling in Calc II and Eng 100.

However, my GPA is pretty crappy right now thanks to Chem and Eng 101. And according to ratemyprofessors.com, it's fairly easy to pull of an A in Musicol 123 so long as you do all of the work, attend every lecture and study hard for exams. If I take it graded and manage to get an A, it will bring up my GPA.

So I don't know whether I should take it pass/fail so I have more time to focus on my important classes, or if I should risk taking it graded and hopefully get an A to raise my GPA.

Opinions?
