Taking AP Bio, Lang, US History, and Stats

I’m currently a sophomore, and this year I took AP World History, as well as Honors Chemistry and Advanced English. I did pretty good in all classes, getting an A in english and chem and a B in history, managing a 4.0 overall. Next year, I’ve signed up to take AP Bio, Language and composition, US History, and Statistics. I’m also going to Junior class vice president (leadership), doing color guard, and most likely Diveristy (sort of a mentor to the freshman class thing) next year. Is taking 4 AP classes going to be too much considering extracurriculars? I can’t really take any other math class so I’m stuck with AP Stats but I’m wondering if I should drop one of the other AP classes.

I think you should keep the schedule you signed up for. A lot of the time being busy can be better for time management. For example, if I have all afternoon to do one assignment, I usually wait until the last minute to do it, but if I have a few hours of homework, I focus better because I understand my courseload. Also you maintained good grades this year so that’s an indication that you can do the same next year. In the future when you’re applying to colleges, you’ll thank yourself.

Bio and US History are very time consuming classes that will involve a lot of homework and outside studying/notes.
