I am currently taking Algebra II as an 11th grader. The material so far is pretty simple. I was wondering if it would be possible for me to take AP Calculus during my senior year. I am kind of stressing out since most people say you have to understand Algebra II to get Pre Calculus which scares me since I don’t have that much time. If anyone could help me out I would greatly appreciate that.
I would not recommend skipping either Algebra II or pre-calc. Take pre-calc over the summer if you want to take calculus next year.
Ditto. I think it would be a very big stretch and I support acceleration-my 10th grader is in AP Calc BC and my senior is in Linear Algebra. You have to be able to have a solid grasp of the Alg II as a foundation.
skieurope’s suggestion may be your best bet-take Pre Calc over the summer.
Thank you guys I will try this out.
