Taking AP Government and Politics or Honors Civics and Economics?

Hey guys, so my first year of high school is ending, and it is time for me to select courses for my sophomore year. I'm trying to decide between taking AP Government and Politics, which I was recommended for, or just taking Civics and Economics Honors. I've gotten straight A's so far (end of third quarter). However, AP Gov is supposed to be a very rigorous course at my school and it is next to impossible to get an A. What do you think? Take a B in a very rigorous AP course or take the A in an Honors course?

I want to add that social studies is an easy subject for me, but I don't have an interest in politics.

Why don’t you just take the AP Government class and get an A? That should be your expectation.

Colleges do look for rigor in a schedule, so I would suggest take the AP class, if you know you can keep at a B. Just make sure taking that class wouldn’t cause so much stress that it affects your other grades

It’s very odd how your school configures that because at mine both classes are a semester long and usually people choose to take both.

Anyway the AP will get you a tiny bit of college credit, plus government stuff is more interesting so take that IMO.
