Taking AP Physics 1 and Chemistry?

Hey, guys! I’m currently a Freshman thinking about next year’s courses. Has anyone had experience taking regular Chemistry and AP Physics 1 concurrently? (Or any combo of Chemistry/Physics the same year?) If I took both, my schedule would look like this:

Pre-Calc
AP World
English 10
German III
Astronomy
Chemistry
AP Physics 1

For reference, I’m doing pretty well in Bio. I would be open to taking regular physics during summer but the only prereq. for AP Physics 1 at my school is Geometry.

Personally, I don’t see the need for 3 sciences. If you are adept at sciences, it’s possible to do both concurrently. Are there not any other graduation requirements you need to get out of the way, (e.g. art, phys ed, personal finance) in place of one of the sciences?

Yes it’s possible to take AP physics 1 and regular or honors chemistry together. However adding astronomy to the bunch is pushing it a step too far.
What class can you take instead of a third science?

I guess I could push out Astronomy and replace it with AV Technology to satisfy my art requirement. I really, really wanted to take astronomy but I do understand the advice, 3 sciences seems pretty gnarly now that I really think about it.

Yes, save astronomy as your fun class for Senior year!
AV tech counts for art?

I think I’ll end up taking Astronomy Junior year, mostly since I wanted to dual-enroll in the (single :() astronomy course offered at my local uni before the end of HS.
My school calls it AV Tech but it’s just film production.

Oops, sorry, yes, junior year.
You now have a perfectly balanced schedule. Congratulations
