Ok, so this summer I took a intro to psychology course at a well known local college, did very well in it, and will be receiving college credit. I will be a senior this year, however, I was wondering if there is any point at all in taking the AP Psych test this spring. I have no doubt that I could do just as well on it as I did in the class, but would it offer any benefit in terms of college admission/credit to include the AP test?

Bump… I have the same question. Except I’m taking it at a small private college, not a CC. My only thoughts now are to use Barron’s or other AP prep material and review what I learned in the class.

Nope. No advantage.

Depends. How comfortable are you that schools you are applying to will accept the credit from the school where you took the class?

From what I’ve seen, a lot of colleges won’t accept DE credits if they show up on your high school transcript. I think it’s easier to get AP credits accepted…AP is considered more standardized.
