I'm currently a sophomore in high school who is taking Algebra 2. Next year I plan on taking regular precalc and AP stat. I'm kind of worried that it will be too hard or that I will struggle, but I'm not sure. I have never taken an honors (let alone AP) math class before, but I have gotten all A's this year in Algebra 2. Apparently this is is really rare at my school, so almost no one in my class is even taking precalc next year. I really do enjoy math, so I want it to work out.

Does anyone have any tips/suggestions/experience with taking precalc, AP Stat, or both?
Thanks!

Where do you live in that pre-calc is rare for junior ? Currently I am on a similar boat except I will take both ap stats and precalc in sophomore. I did some research online and talked with my brother and most said the class is not very hard and having alg 2 is sufficient.

There’s an 8th grader at my high shool talking accelerated precalc and ap stats so it’s not that crazy over here and he’s the type that gets a constant over 100% in the class but the one thing I would say is to not be afraid to ask for help I know that sounds stupid but some people (me:/) feel bad about asking for help in math because I think “psh I’m in precalc I’m a junior I’m good I’m smart whatever” but if I don’t get constant help from my teacher I’ll really fall behind so don’t be too cocky for help! I’m not implying you are just trying to give some advice! Good luck:)

Thanks, and @long21 the people in my regular algebra 2 class are the one’s not taking pre calc. At my school it is “apparently” hard to get a good grade in algebra 2 and you need at least a B to move on… personally I don’t see how these people aren’t getting at least a B, but then again, I probably should be in honors this year.

You should be fine. I’m a sophomore who’s concurrently taking Honors Algebra 2 and AP Stats right now. It’s pretty manageable for me, at least. I have both As in them.
