Taking AP test(s) in college?

Stupid question, but can college students take AP tests and get credit?
Thanks

That's actually a good question... one could theoretically PR a 5 in random courses and get cred ex post higho schoolo

I think it depends on the university. At Hopkins, they state that credit is granted for courses completed before matriculation.

Can you clep during college?

You can only take AP exams as a high school student.

You can CLEP anytime.

BigIs, you are completely wrong about AP exams. I have talked to several AP representatives from CB and they have all said that taking AP exams after high school is perfectly ok. Some students in college take an AP exam or 2 if they are short on a few credits. After all, aren't AP exams college-level? BigIs, stop spreading incorrect information!!!

Well, let met put it this way.

AP Exams are administered at high schools. If a college student could talk a high school into letting him register with them to take the exam, he could take it there.

When registering for an AP, you need to specify your reporting school. A college student could put down the home schooling code and thereby receive a score report.

Other than the above scenario, the AP Program is set up for high school students to take exams for college credit. A student can take any exam up to four times (once every year) or five times for a red-shirted freshman, I guess.

I don't know who your AP reps from CB are. My source is the Vice-President in charge of the Advanced Placement Program at the College Board, among others.

Students short a few courses in college take CLEP. Anyone can take CLEP.

I know of what I say.
