Taking Both Math I & II SAT II

Is it worth taking the Math I AND Math II Subject Tests?

Not so very much. Take Math 2 and another strong subject instead. Just my 2 cents.

If you are a strong student and aiming for top tier schools then just math II and 2 other subject tests - one science and one humanities. Many top schools do require math II, and math I and II wouldn’t really count as 2 subject tests. If you are going to be humanities student then take math I and 2 other subject tests. Some colleges still require 3 subject tests, might as well take them and have more options.

If you have prepared for and are confident about Math level 2, I would suggest taking that one. Based on my experience, most top tier colleges like to see Math Level 2.

Math 2 is required by some colleges for engineering or science, and some for business or architecture. As to otherwise taking both, be aware that those which require two subject tests want them in different subjects and thus submitting two math scores counts as one (and usually the higher score of the two is used for admission unless the math 2 was required). In essence, the only advantage to taking both is that you miight score high in one while blowing the other and can use the higher score for admission.

Most colleges don’t even look at Math 1.
Besides, Math 2 has a really good curve (better than Math 1’s), so you’ll be fine.

If you’re a good math student, just go for Math II. Might take some time to prep but worth it
