Would it be pointless to take both Math tests the same day? I just thought it is kinda odd that some people are doing this.

I might end up doing the same by taking the Math I test instead of the Chem test I signed up for. (I also signed up for Math II). Any thoughts or comments?

Wxman is right, taking Math I is pointless. First you'll probably do worse on Math I than on Math II (considering the curve). Second colleges dont care about Math I.

Yea, i took both, but that's because stupid proctor said i would get a 200 on my third test if i just left after the second one (I was signed up for bio and didn't want to take it).

umm I did that today, I signed up for chem and math 2. but i didn't study chem at all so I took math 1 instead. i felt stupid, but oh well. it's better than a 600 on chem right.

If they require 2 SAT subject tests (University of California system, for example) and you have an 800 in MathI and an 800 in Chem, you're still short one SAT subject test and they won't consider your app.

Well, Billy, the UCs don't speak for all colleges. For example, from UVa's requirements page, "We strongly recommend results from two SAT II Subject Tests in any subjects of your choice."

Could be Math I and Math II...it doesn't say. Put simply, take both Maths if you want, just do your research and make sure the colleges you're applying to will take them.
