Taking Calc 1 + Physics 1 and Lab + Statistics same semester?

At many schools, the typical sequence for non-advanced engineering majors is:

Semester 1: Calculus 1
Semester 2: Calculus 2, Physics 1 (including mechanics)
Semester 3: Calculus 3 (multivariable), Physics 2 (including E&M)

because physics for engineering majors depends on calculus (i.e. Physics 1 has Calculus 1 as a prerequisite).

More advanced students who start in Calculus 2 or higher math course (due to AP or other credit for Calculus 1 or more) may start Physics 1 in their first semester.
