taking CHEM 112A in my freshman year?

I'm an incoming student. I plan to skip both 4A and 4B and go directly to 112A. I'm worried about the Lab part of 112A as it doesn't have introduction to lab procedure or report-writing. Will the report-writing be very difficult or takes a big portion in scoring? Will I have big trouble in adapting into lab in 112A without experiencing labs in 4A and 4B? Thanks!

I’ve heard that the labs in 112A are less difficult and less time-consuming than the labs in 4A/4B, so you should be fine. I’m taking 112A this fall so I can’t say for sure, but that’s just what I’ve heard.

If you’re in the College of Chemistry, I’m pretty sure the 4-series are required (no skipping allowed unfortunately). Either that, or 1A/1B and 15.

@spontaneity: no, 4A-4B can be skipped, but only under very specific circumstances  I skipped 4A (and I didn’t take 1A either). Many of my friends skipped both because they took A-level Chemistry.

Spontaneity, would you agree that the labs in 112A are more chill than the 4A/4B labs? You would know much better than me obviously.

(Sorry for the late response, was out in SD); Yeah 112A labs are so much more chill in comparison to 4A/4B labs. 112B labs are pretty more extensive though, but still easier than the 4-series. Also, in 112B, all lab work is individual (which was fantastic for me).
