Taking Classes at ACC

Hey! I wanted to take some hist/govt classes at ACC and I was just wondering, how do you correctly sign up/register for classes at Austin Community College?

I submitted my application & it asked me to submit my UT Austin Transcript. But the thing is, I’m starting UT this fall (#ut19) so I don’t have an official UT transcript yet. I called ACC admission office and they said to “ask someone from UT to send in a letter of non enrollment.” WHAT? I don’t understand this whole idea of requesting a non enrollment letter if I’m already enrolled into UT; I paid my tuition and everything already. Also, who is this “someone from UT” that I can ask? They also sent me a letter of notice stating that I have to get my UT transcript in within 30 days or else they’ll put some sort of “hold” on me. What happens if I don’t? Is it ok if I can send in the transcript after I have finished my 1st semester at UT?

I’m really stuck in this situation. Anyone who has taken classes at ACC before, please help a lost longhorn out. Thanks!

You could try visiting the UT registrar office in-person (MAI rm7) and explain to them what you are trying to do. Also, I would double check with advising office of your particular major to make sure they even allow co-enrollment, assuming you are trying to take classes at ACC and UT at the same time.

@ars2020 I’ll definitely check that out. Thanks!
