Taking classes at CC of TAMU

I’m majoring in computer engineering and want to know if you guys think I should take these classes at a CC over summer or TAMU.

Electives:

POLS 207 (summer 2016)
HIST 105 & 106 (summer 2017)
COMM 243 (summer 2017)

Classes I think I’m going to do bad in:

PHYS 208 and 218 (summer 2016)

I’m pretty set about taking the electives since they don’t relate to my major, but I’m not so sure about the physics classes (I suck at physics. Had a terrible teacher and horrible experience taking it in HS). I don’t want to start my freshman year with a bad GPA.

Also, if I do take these classes over the summer, I’ll only have foundations of engineering (2 hours) and maybe calc 1 (4 hours), if I decide to take it, for my first semester, and 10 hours for my second semester. I’ve heard from other people that having less than 12 hours is a waste, but I don’t see what other classes I could really take.

Don’t go under 12 hours. You will lose/ reduce any scholarship you may have gotten. im doing pols 207 and English over the summer. I already have AP credit for history 105 and 106. Once you go to your NSC your advisor will help you choose classes
