Taking classes at Wharton when enrolled in CAS

Is this possible?
Thanks in advance, I am clueless.

yep, you can register for them like any other class

Some of them can even be used for credit in your College major. I'm IR and some Wharton classes count towards fulfilling my major reqs.

Wharton is a great asset for all undergrads at Penn.

Like everyone else has said, yes, you can take classes in Wharton as a CAS student. Courses in the legal studies department are particularly popular for students considering law school after graduaction. Many people do dual degrees as well.

how hard is it to participate in dual degree with wharton as a CAS student?

It's not possible to get a dual degree from Wharton as a CAS student. However, Whartonites can get a dual degree from CAS.

yes it is possible to get a dual degree from wharton as a cas student. look right here: http://www.college.upenn.edu/curriculum/dual_degree.html. you need to take a few prerequisite classes and maintain a good gpa, but it's very possible, and i'm definitely considering it.

I realize it is possible for someone in the college to apply for dual degree at wharton at the end of their 1st year at penn, but does anyone know how likely they are to be accepted? On the penn website, they make it seem very difficult (lots of people will prob do this, and the gpa mininum is below the actuall cutoff). Can current penn student doing dual degree with wharton answer this?

I'm not doing a dual degree personally, but I know a fair number of people who are, and as long as your gpa is in the 3.6 area and you've taken a few wharton classes so as to be able to finish your dual degree in a reasonable amount of time, you shouldn't have a huge problem getting accepted.
