I heard that you could take some major requirements online like cs 31. Does anybody know which sites?

Yes. I took CS32 online over summer. If it’s in CA all you have to do is check assist.org to make sure you can transfer.

which website/institution?

[Welcome to ASSIST](http://www.assist.org)
Ohlone community college

As long as the course is posted on a regular transcript and the course number matches what is listed on assist.org as equivalent to CS 31, then it’s cool.

Also keep in mind that there’s a unit max for engineers to be able to take courses at a JC. I believe it’s 105, and that’s including AP units.
