Taking Courses at the Other Major and Difference between Campuses (Lincoln Center v. Rose Hill)

Hi, I am wondering about the difference between Gabelli at Lincoln Center v. Rose Hill. If I got into Lincoln Center but want to take, let’s say Accounting (which is offered at Rose Hill as primary or major), is it possible to take the class at Rose Hill? Also, is there one campus better than the other, and is it possible to change to the other campus because of the desired major or primary concentrations? Thank you so much.

Per the Fordham website you need to be on the campus that houses your major. https://www.fordham.edu/info/20526/majors_and_minors So if you want to study accounting you must be at Rose Hill. If you have been accepted to Fordham and want to change campuses I suggest you contact admissions.

Both schools have their own advantages. LC is in the city with internship and other possibilities at the fingertips; RH is more open and roomy environment. There is Ram Van that goes every half hour between campuses until late in the night, pass 10 PM, and sometimes pass midnight. If you take classes in both campuses, you can ride free.

Both comments above are correct.

RH (including Gabelli) is a much larger, and very traditional, ivy-covered-type campus; LC is more vertical and very near Columbus Circle. Manhattan is an easy commute from RH (The Metro North Train Station is literally just outside the gates at RH; and The Ram Van from on-campus at RH to on campus at LC and vice versa, runs often, and until the wee hours of the morning - available for a small charge to all Fordham students of any campus) .
RH has many more students, the lawns and spaciousness, LC is in The City with all the advantages (and disadvantages)…Generally, LC is considered more ‘arty’. The larger libraries, all sports teams and more resources are at RH. the larger campus.

A student at either RH or LC can take individual courses at the other campus, and Ram Van transportation is provided, although this is usually done by upper-class-members. It can take 45 minutes+ to commute to the other campus.

Gabelli is a separate college on the Rose Hill campus, but it is not separate physically from the campus. Gabelli students often room with Rose Hill students, they eat together at the cafeteria, and work out in the gyms together. Gabelli students take core courses and electives with RH students, and RH students can and do take elective Gabelli courses. If you want a major offered by Gabelli- apply to Gabelli. If you want a RH major, apply there. If LC has the major you want, that is the one you should apply to. RH and LC do have a few majors offered at both colleges. It is possible to change colleges (or switch your campus) but is uncommon and not guaranteed. Both the RH and LC campuses are stunning in their own way.

I visited Fordham at Rose Hill. I thought it was absolutely BEAUTIFUL. It is honestly better than any school I’ve visited (Drexel and UPenn probably doesn’t compare). It’s an extremely green land that spans a huge space (you can hardly recognize the outside city from the inside because of the fences and security–> very safe campus in an unsafe neighborhood). Not to mention the beauty of all of the buildings. Not one disappoints. I would never choose Lincoln Center over Rose Hill because you get a full campus/ college experience at Rose Hill, and its bigger and probably has a larger variety of classes.
