At UNL, if I submit and receive AP credit (ex AP Calc AB) can I still take the Calculus 1 class? Or does UNL force students to take Calculus 2?
I am asking because most med schools don’t accept AP courses and I will need to take Calc, Bio, Physics, and several more essential courses that I scored well on for my AP exam. Ideally, I would like to receive AP credit to go toward my class standing for registration priority but also be able to take the course equivalent as an undergrad.
Does anyone have experience with this? I’ve asked my area recruiter a few times and he deflects in order not to give a straight answer. Even when I have asked him who at UNL I can talk to to find out he says I will be told everything during my advising appointment this summer. Which of course by then would be too late since I would like to know before I commit.
