<p>I will take one or the other next semester. I am also taking Math 53, and although Math 53 is a pre-req for Econ 101A, I know someone who is taking 101A without 53 and she told me that only chapter from Math 53 is being used (and it can be self-taught). However, I've also heard that it's better to take 101B before taking 101A, even though 101A is a pre-req for 101B (I don't believe I'll see a huge connection?). So which order is adviseable?</p>
<p>I'm takin Econ 101B right now and plan on takin 101A next semester.. Half the class is like me, they haven't taken 101A either... One of the reasons that I took 101B first is cuz I heard that it was easier and involved less math... I have friends in 101a right now and they say its not that bad though.. so I'd say either way is ok.. you don't need 101A stuff for 101B</p>
