Taking English Literature AP online...

Is this a good idea? Literature conflicts with a music class in school that I really wish to take (my school only has one AP Lit class, and for that matter only one AP Gov and AP Calc class...) and that has been one of my main ECs for two years. I consider myself a decent enough English student to complete the class, but how will I fare in the exam room? Has anyone taken Lit online before? How has it worked for you?

Have you decided where you're going to take the course? I would recommend taking it through Apex (<a href="http://www.apexlearning.com%5B/url%5D">www.apexlearning.com</a>). If you visit their site, you can demo the entire first unit of all their courses. I think you'd do fine with the course and on the AP Exam. It looks as though Apex really drives their coursework toward the exam. In fact, at the end of the course they give you practice exams, review sessions, and tons of tips on what the AP Exam will be like and how to master it. I've heard from people here that they felt very prepared to take the exam after taking the courses online. Good luck! :D

I self-studied Lit, which really means that I did little/no preparation, and the AP exam wasn't that bad. (If only I had time to study, I would have done better ...). If you can read and take standardized tests well, I wouldn't even worry about taking a course for the exam.
