It's been months I think since I've made a thread but I'm back with another question. I've taken 3 years of spanish in high school, and I plan to take Electrical/Computer Engineering as my major in college (Warren, btw). Is it advisable to take foreign language again or does it matter if I take that or another of the PofCs? I'm at the step after registering for orientation where it asks about if I'm going to take placement courses for certain subjects and it kind of suggested "... language courses are a good option for elective units, general background, or preparation for some graduate programs" and I don't want to not take the course if it would help in any way. Although, don't get me wrong, I don't necessarily see how foreign language would help me with my Computer Engineering major. I'm just being safe. lol Are they actually helpful for me or not? I appreciate the help

Warren has a PofC that is foreign language, its like 3 language courses and 3 history / literature courses, so if you feel confident you should go for it

Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it. I don’t think it’d be too much of a problem to get through the classes, but I just want to know if taking a foreign language class over other courses would actually benefit me with the major I’ve chosen. I don’t really think it will but I just want some reassurance from people that actually went through this process

Anyone else have any advice? Especially Electrical/Computer Engineers? I figure this is probably more obvious than I’m willing to say but I really don’t want to not take foreign language if it’ll benefit me over any other course. I read that Warren doesn’t have any formal req’s for it but that it’s encouraged. I don’t think it is necessarily encouraged for my major choices but can anyone clarify this? I want to get this done soon please
