Taking graduate courses as an undergrad?

Hello all,

Is it possible at Tufts to take graduate courses as an undergrad? If so, how do I go about doing this? I came here on the assumption (because we have graduate students on campus as well) that those courses were also available to undergraduates looking for more advanced work. This seems to be the case on many other college campuses, but I haven't been able to find any solid information on the Tufts website regarding how to go about this. I am a Quantitative Economics major, and the courses I would be interested in taking would be in that field as well.

Thanks.

If you major in Econ, you should be able to take grad level courses, provided, of course, that you have taken an prerequisites and are considered a strong enough student to handle them. See [Department of Economics: Tufts University](<a href=“Home | Department of Economics”>Home | Department of Economics)

I am assuming you are interested in a Fletcher course. Students can only take one graduate course per semester. Fletcher’s website (or any other graduate website) should have details. Graduate classes are longer and obviously more difficult. Thus, they have big time blocks (hence why undergrads can only take 1 per semester).

Best of luck!
