Taking JC Classes over the summer

Who here has experience with this?
I plan on taking Chem, Math, And maybe English over the summer at a JC and I was curious about the transfer of credits.
My academic advisor said that some JC classes that are supposed to correspond to one here only focus on half of the class, so i would only get partial credits. (for ex. a math class at a JC may be based on half Math 9B & the other half 9C)
Does anyone have any stories about this they'd like to enlighten with?
Thanks.

Check with advisor… that’s all I can say. I’m actually going to take classes at UCR… it’s just easier for credits sake… apply for financial aid! you might be surprised how much they give you in the summer?

use assist.org and see which courses qualify for full credit.

not sure if this still works, but I tool English 1A & 1B at Pasadena City College years ago and when it transferred in, I was told that they carried over and over 1A,1B AND 1C! so I got to take one class less.
