Taking Language SAT II After Being Admitted? (Plus other questions)

Is it too late for me to take the spanish subject test now in an attempt to place into a 100 level course? I'm signed up to take the Spanish Lang AP test, but I think I have a much better chance of getting like a 700 on the SAT II than a 5 on the AP.

Also, I know that AP tests in general count for at most 2 credits, but do you get to choose exactly which 2 subjects they count for, or do you still have to fulfill every one of the T-Reqs with the final total just being lowered to 32 instead of 34 credits to graduate? Basically what I'm asking is if AP tests count for any of the distribution requirements at all. Thanks for the help.

both my sons took their SATIIs in June after graduation of high school…when they already knew where they were going to college and each college has significantly different expectations. By all means do your best on your AP, but the SATII could be more doable

Duke son started a new language at Duke and looked forward to his time there very much–with the new language team…was a bright spot in his four years and a path to a semester abroad
