<p>I am a junior currently taking first year latin along with fourth year french, and my latin teacher keeps telling us that Latin will help us do better on our SAT. I was wondering how truth this is and to what extent?</p>
<p>My Latin teacher says that too. She says it helps with grammar a lot.
I can see that since a lot of English vocabulary is derived from Latin so it would help. I'm not sure about the grammar part, though.</p>
<p>It is likely to help more with vocabulary (since you can often figure out the meaning of words you don't know) than with grammar.</p>
