taking lower division reqs at cc?

<p>i was always a lurker but i had too many qs for my own good to not sign up :P</p>

<p>i applied as undeclared but now i have interest in human bio and thus since it's an impacted major this year, i was looking over the lower division reqs needed for human bio and i was just wondering if these can be taken at a cc or even at an online college. that would help me take less classes each quarter and i think i would be able to do better [: plus, on top of that, i have to fulfill revelle's ge's.</p>

<p>...that aside, is there absolutely no possible way to change my major now?</p>

<p>could you take these at a CC? of course.</p>

<p>should you? probably not.</p>

<p>if <em>you</em> think it’s going to be easier at a CC, the biology folk are probably way ahead of you and when comparing your A in bio 101 to somebody else’s A in BILD, you’re not going to be the favored one.</p>

<p>it’s theoretically possible to transfer into an impacted major. just perform admirably in the weeder classes.</p>

<p>You would have to have dual enrollment and from what my cc counselor told me is that UCSD doesn’t allow that, but I would check with UCSD.</p>

<p>fall quarter i took 3 classes @ UCSD and 1 at the local CC, it was fine, and my class transferred over with no troubles. make sure you check assist.org</p>

<p>i think for major classes, you should take it at ucsd. if you want to get ahead, you’re bored, whatever, take GE classes at a CC. most of my revelle friends tend to take Hum at their CC. use <a href=“http://www.assist.org%5B/url%5D”>www.assist.org</a> to make sure the classes are transferable/equivalent. </p>
