do med schools allow that?
would i have trouble in 16b since i didn't take 1a?

no they dont allow it...you have to take 1b or higher at this point to satisfy the 1 yr calc req

talk to your advisor. mine told me it would be totally acceptable and all they look at is 1 year of calc, not how hard it is.

I don't see why med schools would care, but it's something you need to research carefully, not take the word of people on a message board.

hmm.. ok. thanks.

For med school, if I take math 53 and 54... would that not count as the calc requirement? Would I have to take math 1b to satisfy the second semester (after 53)?

Are you AP'ing out of 1A-1B or are you using CC credit?

im not sure if 54 is counted as calc...i would go with 1b THEN 53...not the other way around b/c im not sure if theyd allow it

I AP-ed out of 1a and 1 b.. and I'm taking 53 this semester so planning on taking 54 in spring.

is it true that many med schools don't take 16b...? ive heard that from someone

Med schools take 16B.

depends on the school.

List a few that don't and where it explicitly says so.

hmm .
