Taking Math 21B and Physics 9A together

Hey there, I’m going to be taking Math 21B and Physics 9A concurrently during the summer, or at least I’m going to try. I understand that Math 21B is a prerequisite, but I’ve had a couple of students tell me that I should be fine, especially if I let the professor know that I already know integration and its applications.

Do you think the professor will let me take his course? Just for reference, I got Colin Cunliff as the Physics 9A professor.

If you’re taking Math 21B and Physics 9A concurrently, you should be fine. There are lots of students who take a prerequisite course concurrently with the course that require that prereq. And I don’t know how strict the 9 series is with prerequisites, but I know that with the 7 series, they don’t check prerequisites at all–I remember there were students in my 7A class last summer who were taking Math 16A concurrently, even though the prerequisite was 16B!
