One of my friends told me I could take 2340 and 1920 at the same time. 1920 is listed as a prerequisite to 2340. Should I take 1920 and 2340 at the same time, or is that stupid (I have plenty of room in my schedule). Just so you know 1920 is multivariable calc for engineers, and 2340 is linear algebra for engineers.

a) it’s Math 2940.
b) No, you shouldn’t. It’s fine to take 2940 and 2930 concurrently (although they still advise against it). But you should not be doing linear algebra at the same time as multi calc.

The likely (imo) reason they advise against taking 2940 and 2930 concurrently is that all the tests are pretty much at the same time.

But yeah you should probably take multi before linear algebra, though we haven’t really used it yet. It seemed more important for diffyq

Just take 1920 then if you want you can take diffyq and linalg concurrently. My roommate is doing this and he seems to be doing pretty well in it.
