taking math classes at different schools

do 4 year schools want you to do the entire math sequence for engineering at the same school in community college while you are planning to transfer? (differintiation, integrals, mult calc, diff eq, and linear alg)

im going to take multvariable calculus next semester at the school i regularly go to but am planning on also taking linear algebra during the next winter quarter at another community college that is a quarter system. will they not accept this? im planning on attending a UC

Call/email the schools that you are interested in and ask them.

I took Diff-EQ over the summer at a (lesser) school and transfered the credit back to my university for a degree requirement. It should be possible.

Most schools have a requirement that X hours of credit must be from that school to graduate, and that Y of those hours must be upper-level courses. There may be additional requirements regarding courses in your major (math was NOT mine), but usually the trick with those is finding a course elsewhere that your department recognizes as "equivalent" to one of theirs.

Definitely get your school/dept. to approve the other course before you pay for it.
