Okay so I signed up to take the Math II test for the first time in January and I since its few days away I was hoping for some advice. I'm SUPER STRESSED about this cause I go to an economics school (where math is more focused on currencies and other things.) and I basically had to start from zero and work my way through the math covered on the Math II (when I did the diagnostic test I could only solve about 30% of it, none of the other stuff was taught at my school.)
I've spent the last month literally studying every day. I used PR and Barron's, but I'm worried cause I kept scoring in the 600s on the Barron's tests. I know a lot of people on this board have taken Math II and scored 800s. Any advice/helpful tips?

Dont worry the practice tests in the Barron’s book are 10x harder than what you’ll actually see on test day. I got scores in the 500-600 range in the barrons and received a 770 on the actual test. Have you taken a practice test from the official SAT Subject test study guide?.. that usually is a good indicator of where you are at.

^ How many practice tests does the SAT Subject Test Study Guide have for the Math II?

the barrons book is a killer x.x
I took one practice test from it (got 710) and never touched it ever again lol
scored 800 on the test last may
trust me, the real test is EXTREMELY easy compared to the barrons book, in fact, the real test is easier than every practice test I have ever taken (well, only 4 but yeah…)

I wouldn’t stress out now lol
stress after you fail the test :p

Oh my god! Thank you for the info, Jazzyindy. Yesterday i did my first practice test with the Barrons and scored a 490. (I am a international so i never had this kind of math on my school)

^basically in the same position as you blackhair.

@jazzyindy I haven’t done the tests in the Blue Book yet I’m picking it up tomorrow. It’s good to know there is hope to get something above 700 after continuously getting 600s on the Barron’s.

@zala2022 The stressing after failing is unavoidable I’m afraid, but at least I’ll have a valid reason to justify rejections lol :P
