Taking Microeconomics at Community College

Hi all,

I was just wondering what the official procedure is for taking a core class--in my situation ECON-203--outside of USC.

What applications must I fill out (I understand there's a document known as an articulation agreement), and is there a deadline at USC to register for a class at a community college?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Well, 1st is to make sure that your department will accept the credit from the CC as satisfying that core requirement.

2nd is getting pre-approval for registering at the CC, which can be donne on OASIS for the most part.

Also, you can only take courses elsewhere during the summer - during the fall and spring, only courses taken at USC count, with very few exceptions.

wil the macroeconomics AP count towards my GenEd reqs?

nope, though your department might take ap econ for certain requirements
