Taking naps?

Hey everyone,
I have to wake up at 6 every morning to go to school. Is it healthy to take an hour nap after school? Anyone do that?

I get up a bit earlier than that, and after reading this post, I’m seriously considering that.

However, I’m bad at naps. I tend to sleep much longer than the 20 minutes I originally intended to spend.

i sleep during school.
last year i had physics last period and my teacher was extremely boring and if i put my head down he couldn’t see me, so i just went to sleep. i don’t remember ever paying attention in that class. i just read from the book the day before a test and passed with a decent grade.

I do if I’ve been sleep deprived.

Sometimes. If I have a lot of homework, I try not to, and so I’ll go to a coffee shop to keep myself away from comfortable beds and couches.

I run after school so usually when I get home I give myself about 45 minutes to an hour to sleep/shower before hw.

Yes.
After I nap, I stay up until one or two to finish homework. Naps make it much easier for me to focus, memorize, and comprehend information afterward. But it doesn’t solve my problem of sleep deprivation.

every day after crew practice I go to sleep and wake up at 4 or 5 in the morning so can it still be a nap if it’s 10-11 hours

Im pretty sure everyone takes naps. I know it’d be really hard for me to get through all my homework without one.

I’m the kind of person where taking a nap for even an hour seriously screws me up when I try to sleep, but I also can’t really exist without one. Usually I’ll get home around 2:30, sleep till about 3:30, and go to bed at 11. It isn’t a bad system.

well, i think its unpredictable, i wake up at 5:20 in the morning and i havent taken an actual nap in 2 years soooo, yea…

Naps are very under-rated.

Winston Churchill was notorious for taking naps, which allowed him to work around the clock.

I worked at large law firms in New York City, where they used to make you work until midnight. They would probably fire you if you took a nap, but to me, it is a very reasonable thing to do.

Naps are awesome. Last year, I had to wake up at 5:30 every day, and I usually got 5-6 hours of sleep. So, I took a ton of naps in the afternoon.

when i was in high school i woke up 6:15 everyday. wasn’t much of a problem. just go to sleep earlier.
