I'm a pre-med bio major and I already know that I'm going to have trouble with physics. I was wondering if it is frowned upon to take Phys w. Lab in the summer? It won't be at a community college, it'd be at my local university, FIU.

Depending on the program, taking it in summer can be more challenging than during the school year. In summer the whole year is compressed into 8 weeks or so which doesn’t leave much time to grasp complex concepts.

Another thing to consider is how it would affect your transcript/GPA/rank to take it during the summer. If it shows up as a normal course on your transcript and is calculated normally into your GPA and rank, then colleges will generally not view it differently from a school year class.
