Taking Questions about Interview

Oops, my post above was @LeoBro. This is for you, Clairee!

Well, personal relationship… hm. You decide if that’s necessary. All interviews aren’t necessarily the same, so I’ll just give you some tips that may help you answer your question:

 1. You should really get comfortable with the interviewer. If you feel like you can’t tell stories or jokes or things like that to the interviewer, I doubt he/she will know you as well (and of course, his/her goal is to find out more about you and your personality).
 2. To evade getting questioned a lot, you can leave your answers to your interviewer’s first few questions in little cliffhangery segments, if you know what I mean. Like, make it more like a conversation by you explaining yourself. It’s time to know about you, not the interviewer. So talk while you have the chance! It’s a time to show off, and don’t be afraid to!!! Well, don’t sound conceited and obnoxious. :stuck_out_tongue: But show that you do stuff! Show that you are hard to get! Well… okay I think I’m being over the top now.

Okay, well, those are only two reasons. But you ask yourself that question now, and so good luck on your interview!!! :)

@doomedforfailure Ehehe. That’s hard. I’m a very “rigid” person. But oh well I’ll try my best! For my Hotchkiss interview the interviewer and I were polite to each other, but not exactly friendly. But I guess I was “comfortable” with her.
Would around October 1st-7th be a good time for interviews? I’m wondering if there’s some sort of American holiday during that time…? That’s a good time for me since in China we get days off for those days…
THANK YOU VERY VERY MUCH!!!  :D

You guys think you’re applying fo interviews LATE?? Sheesh i had my interviews for my schools on thapplication deadlines!! (Started search im december)

@swimdude, how did you ever manage to interview so late? I bet it must have been hectic for you.

@Clairee: Oh, yeah. I forgot to tell you. I have acting skills… I TOOK ADVANTAGE OF THAT. Just saying. Act more… open. I mean, yeah, they want to see the real you and not the fake you, but I’m just saying not to come in all frowny or menancing looking for those who will sit with an interviewer. As for over the phone, put a happier tone in your voice. :)

I’m not sure. For me, there’s no bad time for me unless I’m sick or I’m having some depressing issues. So go for it and schedule your appointment. You are very very welcome! I hope this is helping people… :P

@Swimdude006: Wow! That doesn’t really matter, I guess. Better early, though! Just get it done. That’s what I think.

@SevenDad thats what i thought you meant, thanks for the advice. BTW has that ever happened to you?
