Taking random electives

How do college view students who take random electives that don't seem to fit in with their major? For instance, would it look bad for an econ major to take a class in criminal justice or sociology?

I don’t think taking “too many” classes in your major is a good thing, because you will want to take classes in your major at your new school.

When selecting “electives” you might want to consider classes that will fulfill requirements at schools you are trying to transfer to.
