taking same SATII three times and no improvement..Will it kill me?:(

Ok... I Got 660 first and second time and for the third time I got 650 for BioE..
I had already submitted my app last week, thinking that my score would definately go up by 100 points...

It did not....
I am applying as Bio major, and I am totally depressed...
I have no idea why I got this low mark since I usually got 700s for the practice ones...(requested rescoring)

Anyway..will this totally ruin my chance of getting into Columbia?
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!

p.s.
I got 780MathIIC(first try) and 670Chem(first try)
4.0GPA
top10%
2170SAT1(760CR750M660W)
good ECs
good essays and recs(yah...)

I don’t think it will ruin your chances if everything else looks good, which judging from your quick list of stats, does. Are you Asian?

The fact that you took the test three times won’t hurt you, but your top score (660) will. Your chem score and your SAT1 score aren’t spectacular either, but you still have a chance as long as you get good recs and write an essay that will blow them away. If you are applying for financial aid, however, then your chances will be extremely slim as you are an international student – if you look at the Class of 2012 ED thread, you will see that many qualified internationals who applied for aid were deferred.

You shouldn’t have taken it a third time in the first place…
They might see it as being obsessive with high SAT grades by taking an SAT II three times.

“They might see it as being obsessive with high SAT grades by taking an SAT II three times.”

Retaking a one hour examination does not qualify one as “obsessive.”
Though, I’d be deeply concerned if I were the OP, considering identical scores do nothing but confirm one’s limits.

I agree…sigh…my grandfather died on that day and I could not concentrate..

But I thought I would get at least 700 since I usually did in practice ones…
I requested rescorong…

Yah.. I should have cancelled the test and be with him…But it’s too late to regret..:(

Anyway.. I am not applying for financial aid. As U guys told me, I hope that this will help me a littlebit..

Thank U for the comments guys…

Any other helpers?
