Hi so I just wanted some opinions. I've read on other threads that taking the SAT a 4th time is bad but...

I have a 2280 right now and I really wanna bring it up to a 2300. I took the SATs today and idk I feel like I didn't do well. Would it look bad to colleges if I took it a 4th time? Honestly getting a 2300 is also a personal goal of mine. Any advice?

Btw I have: 760 CR 790 M 730 W

Improving your score 20 points will not do anything

I think most schools count the Critical Reading and Math more, and since both of those scores are over 750, I do not think you need to retake. If you are applying to schools that do not require you to send all your scores, then maybe retake because they won’t know how many times you took it. But I really don’t think it is worthwhile unless you can go up around 50 points.

Move on. There are better things you can do with your time.

No matter what excuse you have for taking the SAT 4th time just to improve 20 points, it looks bad. Specially since CR and Math both are above 750.

It looks bad that you’re taking it 4 times.
