Taking SAT for a third time?

I need a superscore of 2250+...will it look bad if I take the SAT for a third time next month? I don't think I did very well at all on the math sections on Saturday.

I'm applying to Yale, Princeton, Georgetown, GWU, etc. Will they look down on my taking the SAT a third time?

Thanks for your help. I'm planning to sign up for the SAT today or tomorrow, so prompt answers would be greatly appreciated!!

what are your current scores?

hahahah much better to take the SAT 3 times and get a good score than 2 times with a bad score. Most colleges simply advise to do whatever you can to get the highest score possible. Taking the SAT 3 times is quite common; and if you're below the score range of the schools you are looking at, I would highly recommend it.

^^I am not sure!

My first SAT was 1940 (680 CR, 680 W, 580 M).

I'm pretty confident that my total score went up, but its hard to estimate individual scores. I'm pretty confident Writing went up to 700+, not sure about Math or CR.

yeah retake it to get Math up.

I was leaning in that direction, but wanted to check with you guys first!!!!

I know I can bring the math up. I have a month to study!!!

good luck :)
